Voted Best Seafood Restaurant in Western North Carolina every year since opening in 2005, a visit to Asheville is not complete without a stop at The Lobster Trap. Located in the heart of downtown, fresh is the name of the game. Famous for flying fresh seafood in from the coast of Maine, using fresh produce from local farmers, and featuring fresh music from local musicians, The Lobster Trap introduced fresh beer in 2009 with the launch of OysterHouse Brewing Company. Be sure to sample the Moonstone Stout during your visit. Experience fun dining “where the mountains meet the sea.”

Queen Anne’s RevengeThursday 7/2- Makia Groove 8pm
Makia (Muh-kee-uh), a Hawaiian Shaman term meaning “Energy Flows Where Attention Goes,” irrefutably characterizes the band’s live improvisational style, which is fueled by the infinite circle of energy that encompasses the band as well as the audience. Although they utilize the studio’s capabilities, a live show is the only way to truly experience Makia Groove. Formed in Kingsport, TN, Makia Groove was established on one solid foundation, in which each member of the band is encouraged to exercise complete artistic freedom. Self described as “World Funk Fusion”, the band combines Funk, Reggae, Jazz, and Afro-Cuban while still exploring the future. With their innovative spirit and drive, Makia Groove achieves a shapeless identity with unprecedented originality and diversity. The overall vibe of Makia Groove is generated by intense collaboration efforts, where each of the member’s contributions come together to make the sound and essence of Makia Groove unlimited in viewpoints and directions.
And as always, Charles will cooking up the best jerk chicken this side of Miami!
