No BS! Brass Band is a powerful brass band that embraces the spirit of New Orleans into its original East Coast modern funk. Their danceable arrangements are outstandingly well thought-out and organized, drawing inspiration from funk, jazz, klezmer, calypso, and Led Zeppelin. Nearly every member has had conservatory training, holding various Bachelors and Masters degrees in music. Based in Richmond, Virginia, this band has quickly earned a reputation as a premiere band to see for an evening of heart-pounding energy and uncontrollable dancing.

Florida’s own eclectic, jazz, and funk groove ensemble, Shak Nasti, provides an escape from your every day, run of the mill band with pop-infused melodies that co-exist with experimental interludes of pure funk delight. Bruce and the Codetalkers, The Fiji Mariners, Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes, Spam All Stars, Moonshin Still, Pnuma Trio, Brothers Past, and a host of other regional acts as well as being a Florida music festival favorite.

After forming in early 2008, Vertigo Jazz Project have taken their stance as one of the premier musical acts on the Southeastern music scene. They continually captivate their audience’s with fresh musical ideas, deep emotional content and rock solid grooves. VJP is based in Asheville, NC. Asheville is considered one of the more upwardly mobile music scenes in the nation, and has become a Mecca for quality musicians. VJP has taken their place as a front-runner.

Josh Roberts & The Hinges formed in early 2005 in Columbia, SC and immediately began touring and recording. Embedded in their style of rock and roll are blues, country, punk and soul influences that link elegant harmonies with the raunchy guitar work of Josh Roberts. Their powerful sound is raw and uncompromising, creating new rock and roll anthems that leave their dedicated fans speechless…and sometimes exhausted, yet always wanting more.
Wed 21 - Bayou Diesel 6pm
Bayou Diesel is the only working cajun/zydeco/Louisiana style dance band in the Asheville/Western North Carolina area. We play all types of highly danceable Mardi Gras music at anytime of the year. Performing both traditional and progressive cajun and zydeco music, we also like good ol’ rock and roll, rhythm and blues, and family friendly all-access approach to our shows. 2009 will bring changes and more emphasis on zydeco. Laissez les bon temps rouler!
Sun. 18 - Dead Kenny G’s 8pm

The Dead Kenny Gs is a duo started by Skerik and Mike Dillon in 2004. In 2005 they started adding Brian Haas, keyboard genius, for special shows, and a tour in 2006. Brad Houser, bass god from Critters Buggin, is currently the third member. Rotating members join the duo for necessary outings. The priority is for the name, The Dead Kenny Gs, to continue fighting injustice, cheese, and dishonesty in music, and society.
